A non governmental organization Interface Dialogue Forum for Peace has trained and Inaugurated the interface Dialogue team for mediation of Conflict management resolution and inter religious Dialogue in Nasarawa State.
At the Inauguration of the team in lafia the State Capital, Co Chair of the organization Ameer muhd Jamil said the team will be responsible for keeping and maintaining peace, law and order as well as mitigating conflicts across the State.
The interface Dialogue Forum for peace was formed in the year twenty seventeen with the Composition of fifty Muslims and fifty Christians leaders across the Country to address human rights violation that are justified in the name of religions, such as early forced marriage and sexual slavery among others things.
Speaking shortly after the Inauguration Co Chairman of the organization Ameer muhammad Jamil said Nasarawa State interface Dialogue team which comprises of representives of Christians Association of Nigeria CAN and jama atu Nasrul Islam JNI were fully trained on early warning and response machanism on conflict resolution as well as negotiation and remodifications.
Ameer muhammad explained that they have taken a fact finding tour of some states of the federation to find out the route causes of some crisis in the Country, but discovered that there is absent of interface machanism in almost all states of the federation.
The project officer interface Dialogue Forum for peace, Hajiya Lantana Abdullahi noted that the organization is working towards promoting inter religions Dialogue in the society.
In their separate submissions, state secretary jama atu Nasrul Islam Iman muhammed Ali and representive of the CAN Chairman patherson Tanimu Kaura said the Inauguration of the interface Dialogue team is not only timely but Commendable and is long over due.
The duo promised continue support to the team as they have the existing structures
on ground .
