The Nigerian Army is to embark on an intergrated farm project in Nasarawa state as part of effort to address insecurity and youths restiveness
Deputy Chief projects and programmes Army headquarters major general Adeyemi Alabi stated this during courtesy call on governor Abdullahi Sule at the government house lafia.
Major general Adeyemi Alabi said the Nigerian Army has put adquate measures in place to enhance national security and development across the country.
Major general Adeyemi explained that one among many approach by the Nigerian Army is the uterlization of various Nigerian Army lands for Agricultural production.
He explained that the chief of Army staff leutanant general Tukur Buratai brought the idea of establishing intergrated farm on six hundred and twenty hectares of land in keffi local government area considering the Agrerian nature of the state.
Appreciating the Nigerian Army for the support the state is receiving in the area of security, governor Abdullahi Sule commended the foresight of the Nigerian Army for selecting Nasarawa State to invest in Agriculture.

Governor Sule pointed out that the Nigerian Army farm project aside from providing Security to the State,it would also generate revenue and create employment opportunities to the teaming youths across the State.
