Nigerian Medical Association Embarks on Sensitization Programme

Nigerian Medical Association, Kogi state chapter says it has embarked on sensitization programme on the preventive measures on Covid -19.

The chairman of the Association Doctor ,Kabir Zubair
disclosed this in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Lokoja.

Doctor Zubair said, the sensitization programme become necessary in view of the fact that the neighboring states like Ekiti and FCT had recorded some cases thereby making Kogi state a vulnerable state.

He said the Association had also set up a five man committee to ensure that government put adequate machineries in place to curtain the spread of the disease.

The Association therefore appealed to the state government on the training of doctors on how to handle the new disease in case of any eventualities.

Meanwhile,schools and other activities in the state have been put on hold following the announcement by the state government.
