Police Present N6.5m Cheques To Bereaved Officers’ Families

Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Umar Muri has presented cheques worth Six point Five Million naira to fourteen families of Police Officers who died in the line of duty.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the Command’s Spokesperson, ASP Mohammed Jalige in Kaduna.

It explained that the gesture was an initiative of the Inspector General of Police-IGP Family Welfare Insurance aimed at supporting families of deceased Police Officers who died in active service to their fatherland.

The statement says the initiative was to support the immediate families of the fallen heroes, but also to boost the morale of other gallant officers in active service.

The statement adds that the families expressed appreciation for the gesture accorded to them by the IGP and prayed for a successful tenure of office.
