Police to Adopt New strategies to Reduce Crime in Benue

The Benue state police Commissioner, Mr. Audu Madaki says the command will adopt robust Crime prevention strategies to reduce criminal activities in the state.

The Commissioner stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Samuel Ortom in Government House, Makurdi

Mr. Audu Madaki explained that part of the strategy includes the involvement of effective monitoring, surveillance among others.

He said his men would commence serious investigation in Makurdi, Gboko and Katsina Ala as well as other part of the state to checkmate the activities of criminals.

Mr. Madaki advised Divisional Police Officers, DPOs across the state to ensure men of the Nigeria police respect human rights while discharging their constitutional responsibility and the should synergize with other security agencies to achieved their set objectives.

Governor Samuel Ortom thanked the Inspector general of Police for posting professional police like Mr. Audu Madaki at this critical time that the state is battling with a lot of security challenges.

Mr. Ortom promised to support and cooperate Police force in the state to achieve the desired results.

Governor Ortom informed the Commissioner that his Government had made several laws to end open grazing conflict, kidnapping as well as cult activities in the state.
