The Nigeria National Polio Plus Committee, NNPPC, has donated a borehole to Jeje Village in Karshi a suburban community in the Federal Capital Territory.
The borehole came after many years of appeal by the villagers for a decent means of water supply.
The Vice-chairman Nigeria National Polio Plus Committee Dr Kazeem Mustapha said the water project was an extra action to the polio eradication initiative of Rotary International.

President Rotary Club of Abuja Metro, Mrs Omotunde Balogun said with the support of the NNPPC her club has been able to provide water for communities in the FCT noting that with access to clean water standard of living in Jeje village will improve.
One of the women, Aisha Dantani who spoke to Radio Nigeria expressed the community’s appreciation to Rotary club of Abuja metro and the Nigeria National Polio Plus Committee.
The community gave their assurance to put the Borehole into good use and called on the government to provide COVID-19 palliatives for their community.
