Reps Adjourn Plenary To Mourn Departed Colleagues

The house of Representatives has adjourned plenary for one week to Honor two lawmakers who died during the Easter Break.

A member from Plateau State, Mr Haruna Murtala, died in an accident on 3rd April, while Mr Sulaiman Lere,  Member from Kaduna State died on  6th April after a brief illness.

Speaking before the adjournment, the Speaker, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, described the two lawmakers as hardworking, dedicated and honest politicians who died when their services were needed the most.

The House Leader, Mr Alhassan Ado Doguwa, while moving the motion for the adjournment of the plenary said the two were active members of the 9th Assembly, whose contribution to National Development were immeasurable.

The house then adjourned to 20th April, 2021.
