Residents of Ginda- Angbako and Awuza-Langa-langa communities in Nasarawa Eggon have resolved to re-elect Senator Godiya Akwashiki of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, representing Nasarawa North Senatorial District at the Red Chamber come February 2023.
Village Heads, Ginda-Angbako and Awuza-Langa-langa James Akpasu and Hassan Azaga-Aku said they have been suffering from bad roads, contaminated water, no electricity and poor healthcare service.
According to them, it is only Senator Godiya Akwashiki who has been identifying with them hence they would support his re-election because he has the interest of the people at the grassroots at heart.
Some youths of the areas: Raphael Anze, Grace Isah, Danladi Audu and Rosemary Kefas He stressed that different politicians had promised them basic social amenities but failed after being elected hence they resolved to re-elect Senator Godiya Akwashiki seeing that he is committed to providing them basic social amenities to enhance their well-being.
Responding, Senator Godiya Akwashiki said he came with contractors & engineers to the affected areas to see for themselves the level of poor living condition of residents of the area to begin work so that they would have a sense of belonging.
The Senator who explained that leadership is about selfless service to humanity called on the people to cooperate with the contractors and engineers to enable them to carry out standard projects in the communities and finish up as and when due.
Speaking on behalf of the contractors & engineers, Engineer Umar Sa’adu Yusuf said the road construction from Gudi town to Ginda-Angbako and Awuza-Langa-langa is twenty (20) Kilometers, assured that Senator Akwashiki has put in place equipment needed to provide the communities basic social amenities, to boost socio-economic development of the areas.
