Some Political Parties Declare Support for PDP Candidate in Nasarawa

The Action Alliance and National Rescue Movement NRM political parties in Nasarawa State have declared support for the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party PDP ahead of the March 11 governorship election.

At a joint news briefing in karu local government area of the state, the two parties also announced dissolution of their governorship campaign structure in the state to merge with that of the PDP.

Governorship candidates of the two political parties,Dr Manga Asha of Action Alliance and Abubakar Sambo of National Rescue Movement NRM, said the decision followed wide consultations with party stakeholders, associates and friends.

Speaking on behalf of the two parties,the Governorship candidate of Action Alliance AA,Dr Manga Asha stated that after careful scrutiny of all the contenders,they decided to collectively support the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party PDP Dr David Ombugadu during the March 11 governorship election in the state due to his past records of performance.

Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Nasarawa State Francis Orogu described the move as a welcome development as the PDP remains the party to beat in the March 11 elections.
