Sultan Of Sokoto Advocates For Peace

The president general Nigerian supreme Council of Islamic affairs, his Eminence the sultan of sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar the third has advocated the need for religions tolerance and peaceful co existence among the diverse ethnic nationalities across the Country.

His Eminence was speaking at the Inauguration of juma’ at mosque in keana local government area of Nasarawa state.

The sultan of sokoto explained religions tolerance and harmonious co existence among citizens of the Country would enhance peace, Unity, and national cohesion.

While calling on leaders at all levels to be just and fear in the discharge of thier responsibilities, the president general Nigerian supreme Council of Islamic affairs noted that everybody would give the account of his deed in hereafter.

Emphasing the importance of history in nation building, the sultan called on federal government to make history subject mandatory in the school curriculum in order to trace the history all Nigerians across the nation.

On his part, governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state showered encomium on those who contributed towards the actualization of the mosque, called on others to emulate them.

Governor Sule Commended people of keana for living together in peace and harmony with one another,which according to him with out peace such good gesture cannot be achieved.

The event was climax by the two raka at juma ‘at Congregational prayer led by his Eminence the sultan of sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar the third.
