Super Falcons beaten 4-0 In a friendly match

Women’s World football giants the US, maintained their superiority over the Super Falcons of Nigeria with a convincing 4-0 win in an international friendly game.
The game was played at Kansas City and was the first of two friendlies lined up between USA and the Falcons.
The US women’s team have now won all seven meetings against the Falcons since their first clash at the 1999 women’s World Cup.
While Falconets stars at the just concluded FIFA U-20 women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, Deborah Abiodun, Tosin Demehin, and Rofiat Imuran made their debuts with the Falcons as Esther Onyenezide sat on the bench.
Sophia Smith opened scoring for the US in the 14th minute before Lindsay Horan doubled their lead 25 minutes later.
Smith got her second of the game in before the first half whistle to make it 3-0 in favour of the US.
In the 52nd minute Alex Morgan completed the rout by converting from the penalty spot to end the tie 4-0.
Both teams will meet again in a friendly billed for Tuesday, 6th September in Washington DC.
