Unilorin 36 Convocation

The University of Ilorin says it is convoking 10, 922 students in the 36th Convocation Ceremonies, with 180 First Class, 2836 Second Class Upper Division and 4,879 Second Class Lower Division.

Vice- Chancellor of the University, Professor Sulyman Age Abdulkareem disclosed at the press briefing marking beginning of the 36th Convocation Ceremonies of the University, in Ilorin.

Professor Abdulkareem said he had in the last four pursued vigorously enhancement of the University status and ranking, as an international centre of excellence for learning, research and probity.

According to Professor Abdulkareem, the University under his leadership had passionately driven the University on a course of becoming more reputable for research output that change the world.

He noted that though the 2019/2020 academic session was bedeviled with emergence of COVID-19 pandemic and ASSU strike, the University, unlike others did not cancel out a session, despite lockdown occasioned by the pandemic.

professor Abdulkareem also said that despite protracted financial challenges in 2020, meager resources of the University was cautiously managed, as not less than 26 Physical infrastructural projects were executed, under the year in review.
