UTME: Four Arrested for Impersonation in Nasarawa

Four persons have been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,NSCDC Nasarawa State Command for impersonation and other malpractices in the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations in the state.

Parading the suspects at the headquarters of NSCDC in Lafia, the state commandant, Mr Mahmoud Fari said the suspects were arrested at various JAMB Computer Based Test Centres in Karu, Akwanga and Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.

NSCDC Commandant, Nasarawa State Command, Mr Mahmoud Fari fielding questions from journalists.

Mr Mahmoud Fari alleged that the suspects were hired by yet to be identified candidates to sit for the examinations on their behalf.

He stated that the suspects would be arraigned in court after investigations.

Lafia Zonal Director of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Dr. Mahmouda Adamu explained that the suspects were arrested for contradictory bio data at the point of verification during the examinations.

One of the suspects, Joshua Samuel who claimed he came from Delta State said he was arrested for being in possession of JAMB examination slip belonging to another person.
