Nasarawa United Football Club of Lafia has unveiled its new Technical Adviser, Mr. Mangut Mbwas
The New Technical Adviser was unveiled by the Club Management during a brief ceremony held at the state Ministry of Youth and Sports Development in Lafia.
Chairman of Nasarawa United Football Club of Lafia, Mr Solomon Babanja described Mangut Mbawas as one of the best Coaches in the country, encouraging him to continue with last
season’s achievements for greater success in the coming elite Football league season.
He explained that the new coach who took over from Salisu Yusuf will begin his two years contractual assignment with the forthcoming 2025-2026 Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL season.
Mr. Babanja commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his continued support to the Team, promising to deliver on the mandate of the Club.
Responding, the New Technical Adviser Mangut Mbwas expressed delight for signing the contract with Nasarawa United noting that he will assemble a Team that is balance and capable in competing at the highest level in getting a better result in the new Football season that will commence this month.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Yakubu Kwanta in a remark emphasized that the ministry will not interfere with the technical job of the new coach as he has been given free hands to recruit any player deem fit to add value to the Team.
Precious FM Sports Correspondent Nehemiah Gwamna reports that the 47-year-old Plateau State-born Coach, Mangut Mbwas who previously coached notable Club sides in Nigeria including Heartland FC of Owerri, Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi, and Enugu Rangers FC, holds a CAF B Coaching Certificate, the second highest Football Coaching Certificate in Africa.
