Nasarawa state Governor, Abdullahi Sule has expressed his resolve to mobilise more security personnel across correctional centres in the state to avoid cases of jail break at the correctional centres.
Governor Abdullahi Sule stated this during his visit to Keffi medium custodian centre to assess the level of damage caused at the results of jail break by the inmates at the facility.
Recently sixteen inmates awaiting trial at the Keffi medium custodian centre reportedly broken the facility and escaped where seven out of the sixteen were re- arrested while nine of them are still up large.
During his visit to the facility, Governor Abdullahi Sule decried numbers of inmates awaiting trials at the facility, promised to liaise with the relevant authorities in the FCT, to fast track trials of inmates awaiting trial at the Keffi Medium custodian Centre.
Interacting with officials and some inmates at the centre, the state Governor noted that most of the inmates awaiting trial in the facility are those whose cases are before the FCT courts.
While charging the inmates to be of good behaviours and law abiding, the Governor directed that 500 mattresses be supplied to the centre by the state government to improve their living conditions.



Briefing Governor Abdullahi Sule about the state of affairs at the Keffi medium custodian centre, the Controller of Correctional service Nasarawa state Yinusa Ibrahim Ada explained that the centre was overstreach with one hundred and seventy five inmates awaiting trial.
On other inmates that are still up large, the state controller noted that effort are on top geared towards ensuring that they are re – arrested.
