The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has denied reports of an alleged attempt to relocate its headquarters, which stemmed from a Matter of Urgent Public Importance raised by Theodore Bala Maiyaki, member representing Quaan-Pan South Constituency, during plenary at Plateau State House of Assembly.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Head, Press and Public Relations, Thomas Ngor.
The ITF appreciates Hon. Theodore Bala Maiyaki’s concern but cautions that the motion could harm the longstanding cordial relationship between the ITF and the people of Plateau State.
The organisation clarifies that there’s no proposed relocation of its headquarters from Jos, stating that such a decision would require thorough processes that haven’t been initiated by its management, governing council, or supervising ministry, the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.
It adds that ITF values its longstanding historical ties and socio-economic contributions to Plateau State, which have been integral to its identity since 1976, when the Fund’s headquarters was relocated from Lagos to Jos.
The industrial training fund reaffirms its commitment to driving growth in Plateau State and Nigeria, with Jos as its operational hub, and welcomes dialogue with the state government and stakeholders to address concerns and strengthen collaboration.
The ITF urges the public to disregard rumors of relocation, describing them as unfounded and misleading.
