The Nigerian Army is set to establish a Special Forces training school within the premises of the Special Forces Command in Doma, Nasarawa State.
This was disclosed by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, during his visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule at the Government House in Lafia, the state capital.

He explained that the training school will benefit the state and further enable the Army to fulfill its duty of making the country safer.
Highlighting the inadequate manpower of the Nigerian Army in combating threats such as terrorism and other security challenges, Lieutenant General Oluyede emphasized the importance of Nigerians providing full support and cooperation to the Army to ensure success in tackling these issues.
He noted that the decision to relocate the Special Forces training school from Buni Yadi in Yobe State to Nasarawa State was influenced by the persistent terrorism in the North East. Nasarawa offers a safer and more secure environment for officers to undergo uninterrupted training.
Governor Abdullahi Sule expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff for choosing Nasarawa State as the new location for the training school. He assured continued support from his administration to help the Army protect the
nation’s territorial integrity.
