Lawmakers, Directors and Committee Secretaries of the Benue State House of Assembly have been trained by the Benue infrastructure Development Company, BDIC to be acquainted with the use of Benue e-Parliament System.
Managing Director, BDIC, Terwase Gbande stated that the e-Parliament and e-Conferencing platform was designed and developed in-house by the company team, tailored specifically to the operational needs of the Benue State House of Assembly.

Represented by the Group Head, Corporate Services, Engineer Michael Idu, the BDIC MD commended the leadership of the Benue State House of Assembly for embracing the innovation and for their commitment to modernising legislative processes.
Clerk of the House, John Hwande who declared the event open enjoined the participants to embrace the training and give the facilitators maximum cooperation to be equipped and prepared to function effectively.
Chairman House Committee on ICT and Digital Economy, Kennedy Angbo represented by Peter Igbo explained that the platform would allow legislatures to conduct sittings virtually, manage paperless documentation, enable real time management and public access to legislative information.
Acting Director, Administration and Supply, Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, Paul Ameh appreciated Governor Hyacinth Alia for creating an enabling environment for the State to become digitalized.
Two participants, Bem Abunde and Francis Adole described the training as the first of its kind in the whole of North Central.#
