The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mallam Mohammed Idris has unveiled the Mid-Term report of President Bola Tinubu in Makurdi, Benue State before traditional and religious leaders, security agencies, politicians and the media.
At the event, Mallam Idris said the report was the record of President Tinubu’s efforts, policies, projects and impacts across key sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, digital economy, security and agriculture among others.
Represented by the Head of Centre, Federal Information, Benue State Mrs. Irene Onehi, the Minister noted that in the North Central, infrastructure such as the Wannune and Ugbema water supply projects in Benue state are ongoing, while about six thousand nine hundred students of the University of Jos are benefitting from the Nigeria Education Loan Fund.
In the area of Agriculture, the Minister of Information and National Orientation maintained that tractors, inputs and country recovery fund cheques were distributed to farmers to boost rice production in Nasarawa State.
Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia represented by a Director at the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Terdoo Adamu acknowledged the President’s impact in improving the citizens welfare and urged the people to continue to support the Government to succeed.
Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Aondona Dajoh represented by Douglas Akyaa of Makurdi South Constituency commended the president for his pragmatic efforts in making life meaningful for the citizenry and charged the Federal Government to give attention to the area of security and provision of unconditional health care to pensioners.
The Benue State Director, National Orientation Agency, Mark Dewua expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his bold and transformative policies aimed at empowering the youth and fostering sustainable development across the country.
Tor Lobi Chief Moses Anagende and the Vice Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Benue State Chapter, Jonathan Ugbede appealed to the president to involve the traditional institutions and faith based organisations in governance for success to be achieved.
