The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has launched a nationwide campaign focusing on five key thematic areas, including Flooding and Disaster Management, National Security, and Values Reorientation for Students against extreme sign-out practices.
Speaking at a news conference in Lokoja, the Director-General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, said the campaign would in the coming weeks engage citizens across the 774 local government areas of the country, giving them the opportunity to express their views on government programmes and policies.
Represented by Mrs. Margaret Yenami, the DG explained that the sensitization would be carried out through conferences, town hall meetings, advocacy visits, and outreach to schools, traditional rulers, motor parks, and markets.
He called on the media to support the initiative in order to enhance public understanding of government policies.
In his remarks, the Kogi State Director of NOA, Mr. Patrick Edogbonya, emphasized that it remains the agency’s responsibility to enlighten and mobilize the public on government programmes and policies.
