The Executive Chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi), Ismael Ahmed, says PCNGi has expanded its free CNG conversion training programme for members of the Association of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians (ASNAT) in the automobile sector.
Mr. Ahmed said the training is part of President Bola Tinubu’s mission to promote clean energy and transform Nigeria’s automobile industry.
The Executive Chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative stated this in Abuja at the 2025 Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Exhibitions and Fair.
The event brought together artisans and technicians from across the country to showcase their products and contributions to the nation’s economy.
The Executive Chairman, Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, PCNGi, Mr. Ismael Ahmed, who emphasized the crucial role of artisans and technicians in building any economy, said President Bola Tinubu is committed to transforming Nigeria’s automobile sector.
Mr. Ahmed, represented by the Coordinator of Business Development and Strategy of the initiative, Mrs Omolara Obileye, stressed the importance of collaboration in the Socio-economic development of the nation.
The Director General of Industrial Training Fund, Dr. Afiz Oluwatoyin who stressed the need to upscale the skills of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians to meet International Standards, pointed out that President Tinubu had put in place initiatives to address their challenges.
On his part, the National Coordinator of the Association of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians, ASNAT, Comrade Adeshina Akinyemi, called for government and stakeholder interventions to boost members’ productivity.
Other stakeholders, in their remarks, also called for mentorship Programmes to enhance continuity and sustainability in the industry.
