Worried by the recent resurgence of kidnapping in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nassarawa State, the Chairman of Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Council, Iliya Ibn Aliyu, convened an expanded security meeting to address the menace.
Addressing the gathering of major stakeholders at the palace of Aren Eggon, the Council Chairman said the security meeting was necessary considering the rising spate of security threats in the area.
He sought collective and proactive measures from relevant stakeholders to ensure the protection of the lives and property of the citizens
Mister Iliya Ibn Aliyu urged residents in the area to provide intelligent information to security agencies for prompt action.
In a remark, the Aren Eggon Ahmad Ubangari Alaku, the first, assured the council chairman of their unwavering support to ensure absolute peace and unity in the area.
Our correspondent, who covered the event, reports that the expanded security meeting included representatives from the Police, DSS, Army, NSCDC, traditional rulers, and others.
