The Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, North Central, Mallam Babayo Askira Thursday, visited Harvest FM, Makurdi, as part of his familiarization tour to FM stations within the zone.
Addressing staff during the visit, Mallam Askira emphasized the need to improve the station’s capacity and output.
He noted that some of Harvest FM’s challenges, particularly in power supply and studio equipment, were evident and assured the station of management’s support.
The Zonal Director, who also assured that issues of staff welfare would be addressed to enhance efficiency in service delivery, cautioned staff against truancy and disregard for civil service rules.
The General Manager of Harvest FM, Mr. Shimataver Aondoakaa, appreciated the visit which he said was a demonstration of the Zonal Director’s commitment to reposition the station to it to meet up the philosophy behind its establishment especially in the area of uplifting the people and uniting the nation.
Mr. Aondoakaa said the promises made by the ZD will boost the morale of staff in the discharge of their duties.
The Zonal Director was accompanied on the visit by the Zonal Heads of Administration, Nma Ibrahim, Information and Communication Technology;ICT, Engineer Sani Zakari and Audit Sylvester Bikut.
