The Benue State Government has been ordered to pay fifty seven million naira as severance allowance to fourteen former appointees who served in the last administration.
A Makurdi Chief Magistrate Court presided by Kelvin Mbanongon, gave the order while ruling on a garnishee application filed by the counsel representing the judgement creditors, Ocha Ulegede.
The Magistrate ordered the Operational Manager of Fidelity Bank, to activate immediate compliance of the payment as contained in their letters of appointment.
The garnishee proceeding was initiated following the summary judgment delivered by the National Industrial Court in Makurdi on thirteenth, December last year, which was not complied with.
