Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, has reaffirmed the commitment of security agencies to the safety of lives and property of passengers before, during, and after the yuletide season.
CP Kankarofi stated this when he visited the Adogo train derailment site on Sunday, 9 November 2025.
He conducted an on‑the‑spot assessment, met with NRC management and stranded passengers, and deployed security personnel to safeguard people and facilities.
The CP, who also deployed additional security for the derailed coaches, further assessed the situation, as well as supervised the evacuation of all passengers to Ajaokuta station.
He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, working in synergy with other security agencies in the State
