The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has alerted political parties and the general public to the activities of fraudsters allegedly approaching parties to demand payments for nomination forms ahead of upcoming electoral processes.
In a statement signed by the chairman of KOSIEC,Mr Mamman Nda Eri, it stressed that the commission was not collecting any money from any political party for nomination forms or any related requirement.
It urged all political parties to disregard such financial requests purportedly made on behalf of the Commission.
KOSIEC further advised political stakeholders and the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious approach or activity to the appropriate authorities to prevent falling victim to fraud.
