Plateau State Government says it inherited liabilities of over five hundred billion naira from past administrations, in addition to ongoing road construction projects across the State.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang disclosed this during the flag-off ceremony for the construction of the Jos–Jebbu–Bassa road linking Kaduna State.

Flagging off the construction of the Jebu Bassa- Bincin-Buyu linking roads in Bassa Local Government Area, Governor Mutfwang reiterated his administration’s resolve in ensuring that such projects would help in transforming the economic potentials of the State.

Governor Mutfwang who emphasized the importance of the road project, called on residents of the area to cooperate with the contractors for the smooth execution of the project.
Also inaugurating the construction of the Sabon Layi–Corner Shagari road in Jos North, the Governor stressed the need for strict adherence to project specifications, warning that substandard work would not be tolerated.

Speaking at the two events, Commissioner for Works, Ubandoma Laven stressed that the awarded contracts consist of varying expectations and standards, hence urged contractors to abide by such laid down deals.
While the Bassa road project linking Kaduna State is 39.37 km, that of the Sabon Layi-Corner Shagari road in Jos North is 2.3 km.
