Participants of Senior Course Ten of Nigeria War College have advocated full circle utilization of Lithium solid minerals in Nasarawa State to power the defence platform in the country.
Leader of the team, Brigadier General Moyo Akin-Ojo gave the advice during an environmental study tour of a Mining Company in Nassarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Brigadier General Moyo Akin-Ojo commended the State Government for providing an enabling environment for the company to thrive.
He urged the locals to take advantage of the lithium firm to improve their living conditions.
The Deputy Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government Council Comrade Odua Sabo said, the presence of the mining company has impacted positively on the community, with many youth employed.
Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs, Office of Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Abubakar Abdullahi represented by Mr Habila Adokwe and the Vice President, Ease of doing Business, Nasarawa State Investment Development Agency Mr Louis Azige stated that the Lithium firm has attracted many investors ito the state.
The company’s Mining Manager Mr Lui Qiang in a remark assured the team that the company would continue to maintaIn high standards in social protection and manpower training for effective service delivery.
The Study tour with its theme “Harnessing Indigenous Technology to meet the Defence Needs” drew participants from Nigeria, South Africa, Congo, Ghana and Libya.
