Immediate past Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, Doctor Faisal Shuaib, has withdrawn from the Nasarawa State governorship race ahead of the twenty -twenty seven general elections.
Doctor Shuaib announced his withdrawal from the governorship race under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, during a media conference in Lafia.
Correspondent, Esther Enna reports that the announcement left many of his supporters in tears.
Speaking to journalists, Doctor Shuaib explained that his decision followed the endorsement of Senator Ahmed Wadada by Governor Abdullahi Sule, noting that the interest of the state and unity of APC are bigger than his personal ambition.
Doctor Shuaib pledged to continue to contribute his quota to the growth and development of APC and the State, promising also to support all candidates of the party to ensure they succeed in the twenty-twenty seven general elections.
He urged his loyalists and supporters to accept the development in good faith and remain committed to the party.
The former Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Doctor Faisal Shuaib expressed appreciation to the founding fathers, past Governors, Governor Abdullahi Sule, and the people of Nasarawa state for the support and love shown to him throughout his consultation.
