In a bid to ease the business environment, the Nasarawa State, Governor Abdullahi Sule has reaffirmed his admiration commitment to eliminating bottlenecks affecting businesses and investment in the State.
Governor Sule stated this at a town hall meeting organized by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, PEBEC in Lafia, the State capital.
Governor Abdullahi Sule who is the chairman of Nasarawa Enabling Business Environment Council stated that the State recorded tremendous improvements in investment in the Agriculture and Mining sectors but insisted that more still needed to be done to bridge the gap identified by the PEBEB team.
Represented by the State Advisor, Ease of Doing Business, Doctor Umar Ibrahim, the governor reassured small scale business operators and investors that the present administration will continue to provide enabling environment for business to thrive.
The Reform leader, High-Impact Investment, Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, Mr. Prosper Prince Ogbonnia commended the State government for demonstrating political will in strengthening the investment ecosystem to attract more investors to the State.
Mr. Ogbonnia stressed the need for the State government to take conscious actions to eliminate multiple levies, simplify digital processes and harmonize standardized regulatory framework.
The Vice President of Ease of Doing Business in Nasarawa State, Doctor Louise Azige remarked that a lot of business related Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs are making concerted efforts to improve their digital platforms to promote transparency and ease the business environment.
Some of the participants commended the present administration of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule for their people oriented reforms which aimed at lifting many Nigerians out of poverty.
The nationwide subnational engagement organized by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, PEBEC aims to provide technical support to Nasarawa State to eliminate bottlenecks affecting businesses in the State.
The technical workshop featured questions and answers sessions.
