Infrastructural development has been a major focus of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration in Nasarawa State since 2019. The State Government has undertaken various urban and rural construction projects to beautify city centers and improve the movement of goods and services.
On April 5, 2024, Governor Abdullahi Sule awarded a contract worth over sixteen billion Naira for the construction of a Flyover and Underpass in Lafia, the state capital, which was recently inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Similarly, the Governor initiated the construction of an Underpass and the dualization of roads in Akwanga to enhance the town’s appearance, ease congestion, and improve traffic flow.
In Keffi, the administration awarded a contract for constructing a Flyover at the popular Total roundabout to reduce frequent accidents that have caused significant loss of lives and property. The government also constructed roads within the State University in Keffi, addressing accessibility challenges faced by students like Ramatuamu and Abubakar Barde, especially during the rainy season.
Residents such as Mr. Timothy Otambe from Umaisha in Toto Local Government Area and Abubakar Dauda from Karu Local Government Area described these initiatives as unprecedented. Likewise, Mr. Umar Mohammed and Mrs. Victoria Uchenna highlighted the transformative impact of these developments, particularly in road construction, across the state.
Since taking office, Governor Abdullahi Sule has consistently prioritized infrastructural development in various sectors to enhance the well-being of Nasarawa State’s citizens.
