Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, says the ministry will maintain its collaboration with Radio Nigeria Prime FM, Lokoja, to ensure it continues fulfilling its mandate of information dissemination in the state.
The commissioner stated this in Lokoja while hosting the radio station’s management team, led by its new General Manager, Mr. Alfa Yakubu.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr Ebenezer Adurodija, Mr Fanwo described Radio Nigeria Prime Fm as a community radio established by the federal government to disseminate information to the grassroots.
He promised to collaborate with the station in the area of creating a programme that would showcase the activities and achievements of the state government and its various ministries and agencies.
Mr Fanwo, while congratulating Mr Alfa Yakubu on his appointment as the new GM of the station, appreciated him for commiserating with the government and people of the state over the demise of the father of the governor, Alhaji Ahmed Momosani.
Earlier, the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Prime Fm Lokoja, Alfa Yakubu, said his visit to the ministry with his management team was to introduce himself to the Commissioner as the new GM of the station.
He explained that the station, established by the federal government, was a partner in progress in the growth and development of the state.
While commiserating with the commissioner over the passing of the governor’s father, Alhaji Ahmed Momosani, Mr. Yakubu thanked the ministry for its ongoing support of the station.
