The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed total commitment to complementing the government’s efforts in the fight against insecurity and other social vices in the state.
The Emir stated this at his palace in Ilorin, during a special prayer for God to ward off insecurity and other problems associated with it, in the state.
He said the traditional institution would serve as a strong vanguard of the actualization of the desired peace in the nooks and crannies of the state.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari commended governments at all levels for their proactiveness in ensuring that the security challenges are reduced to a minimum.
For his part, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Imam Muhammad Bashir Solih, prayed for peaceful coexistence and religious harmony in the state and the country in general.
He appealed to the residents of the state and Nigerians to support security agencies with credible information on the activities of criminals for prompt action.
