The National Orientation Agency NOA in Plateau State has joined the rest of the country in commemorating National Ordinance Day 2025.
The National Ordinance Day is observed annually to highlight the importance of Nigeria’s national symbols and ordinances, which include the National Flag, Coat of Arms, Anthem, Pledge, Constitution, Passport, and other emblems of sovereignty.
The day also recalls the historic occasion when these symbols were formally handed over at independence, marking the birth of Nigeria’s nationhood and unity.
The State Director,Mrs. Kaneng Pam-Hworo in a commemorative message stressed the significance of the day as an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the values that hold the nation together.

She described national symbols as not just emblems but powerful reminders of the country’s shared history, identity and aspirations.Mrs. Pam-Hworo added that the National Ordinance Day calls on every Nigerian to show respect for the symbols and to live out the values of unity, discipline and patriotism Which they represent.
The State Director also urged Plateau citizens to use the occasion to renew their commitment to nation-building and to instill in the younger generation a sense of pride and responsibility towards the country’s identity and heritage.
