The Special Task Force on Recovery of Plateau State Government Properties has directed occupants of the building at Plateau Riders to vacate within two weeks to enable Government reclaim the property.
Chairman of the Task Force, Brigadier Gen. NASH YAKUBU rtd gave the directive during a visit to the motor park along with the team.
According to Brigadier General Yakubu Rtd The building, currently occupied by unauthorized tenants, is reportedly being used for illegal activities.

He expressed concern over the insecurity and poor sanitary conditions in the motor park, attributing these issues to the activities of the tenants.
He explained that Plateau Riders, managed by the Plateau State Express Services was formerly owned by the Nasarawa State Government but was but later acquired by the Plateau State Government but is not fully in control due to some underlying issues.

Chairman of the Task Force added that the tenants have been occupying the building for over 20 even after purchase and payment to the Nasarawa State government.
Brigadier Gen. YAKUBU Rtd explained that if recovered, it would be revitalized and used to boost the economy.
The team also inspected property at the Liberty Boulevard and interfaced with some retired civil servants suspected to be in possession of the Government property.
