The Nasarawa State office of the Public Complaints Commission, PCC, has disclosed that it received a total of 3,682 complaints from aggrieved members of the public.
Federal Commissioner of the PCC in the state, Mustapha Saidu Mahmud, made this known during a sensitisation walk held in Lafia to commemorate the Commission’s 50th anniversary.
Mr. Saidu Mahmud revealed that out of the total complaints received, 407 are still under investigation, while the rest have been resolved.
He urged members of the public to exercise patience when submitting complaints, emphasizing the need for thorough investigations to ensure justice.
According to the Commissioner, the PCC was established 50 years ago to serve as a shield for ordinary citizens and to investigate administrative injustices across the country.
He encouraged residents to report acts of corruption and injustice to the Commission, noting that such efforts would support the Federal Government’s anti-corruption drive.

He further appealed to residents to file complaints related to corruption and maladministration in government Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and public institutions within the State.
Mr. Saidu Mahmud assured the public of the Commission’s commitment to protecting citizens’ rights at no cost.
The Commissioner also commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for creating an environment conducive that enables the PCC to effectively carry out its mandate across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.
Director of Investigations at the PCC, Mr. Mamaki Simon represented by Assistant Director of Investigations, Mr. Godwin U. Udonu, reaffirmed the Commission’s dedication to promoting social justice and impartiality.
Highlights of the event included a drama presentation showcasing the PCC’s activities, a question-and-answer session, and other engagements.
