The Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande has called on Nigerian youths to key into the vast opportunities abound in the digital space to improve the nation’s digital economy
The minister made the assertion at the ongoing training of digital scholars holding in Jos.
The Three weeks digital training for Scholars, tagged: “JosDigitalRise”, drew Youths from Jos north, Jos South, Jos East and Bassa Local Government Areas.
The minister, represented by the interim chairman, national youth council of Nigeria, NYCN, Buhari Maikyau added that The world is evolving rapidly due to innovation, influencing everything from communication methods to economic systems and governance and called on the scholars participating in the training to see themselves as the hope of Nigerians in view of the current digital revolution.
Maikyau disclosed that participants at the programme which has also held in other parts of the country were given stipend to support the initiative.

He urged plateau youths to showcase their God-given abilities in finding gainful career paths.
Speaking to Journalists, at the event, chairman of Hanzury innovation hub, a partner agency said the programme affords participants in plateau state an opportunity to convert their skills into opportunities as obtainable in other parts of the country.

Some participants who spoke to Radio Nigeria said they will concentrate on learning new skills so as to tap into the digital economy.
Highlights of the event was presentation of new AI application software and group photographs.
