Wealth creation has been identified as critical to addressing the numerous challenges bedeviling individuals toward achieving an efficient universal healthcare delivery in the country.
This, was the position posited by Governor Caleb Mutfwang when he received on a courtesy visit, Executive members of the National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD at his residence in Government House, Rayfield, Jos.
The National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD is the umbrella body of practicing resident doctors across the country with a mission to ensure their well-being amongst others.
Receiving members of the Council who are in the State for their first National Executive Meeting, Governor Caleb Mutfwang noted that for the country to achieve its goal of ensuring adequate health care delivery, it was important for Government to put in place measures of wealth creation.



Mutfwang lauded them for averting its earlier proposed national strike and charged them to bring to bare statistics presented at the visit for further presentation to higher authorities towards addressing their plight and setting out a roadmap towards improving their performance for efficient healthcare delivery.
The Governor used the occasion to commend their optimism and dedication to work despite the challenges and their efforts in providing health care and empathy to humanity.
Earlier, National Chairman of the Association, Suleiman Mohammed while briefing the Governor on their visit to the State, commended and lauded the Plateau State Chapter of the NARD for is exemplary move in hosting the leadership and NERD.
The President stated that the JUTH has the highest number of resident doctors in the country with 56 consultants serving in the State own the Teaching Hospital, the highest number in any State Teaching Hospital in the country.
He used the visit to commend the Governor for his proactive work in transforming the medical sector in the State.
