President Bola Tinubu has described Plateau State as a miniature Nigeria that should be properly harnessed for the development of the country.
The President made the illustration at the Grand reception to welcome the State Governor Caleb Mutfwang into the All Progressives Congress, APC, held at the Polo Field, Jos North Local Government Area.
Receiving the Governor into the Progressives Governor’s Forum, President Bola Tinubu noted that in view of the miniature nature of the State, it deserves a focused, United and dedicated leader whose leadership qualities can help propel such qualities.



Represented by the Vice President, Kashim Shittima, the President observed that as an asset of great political value, advised Governor Mutfwang to ensure that he provides a level playing ground for everyone to strive under him.
Earlier, Governor Caleb Mutfwang while reiterating commitment to the development of the State, pledged his unflinching support to President Bola Tinubu in view of his passion to provide leadership that would place Nigeria on the path of prosperity, adding that Plateau State will be the epicentre of political decision in 2027.
He therefore appreciated the President, people of the State and his supporters for their continuous support in addition to other key party leaders for leading him into the APC, expressing profound commitment to be a valuable team player in the new political environment.
National Chairman of the APC who welcomed Governor Caleb Mutfwang into the party noted that like the APC motto of Peace and Unity, opined that the decision taken by Governor Mutfwang is to further cement unite Plateau State and place it on the trajectory of growth.
Professor Nantawe added that, as the 26th Governor under APC control, Plateau State will join other States in expressing overwhelming support to the Renewed Hope Agenda vision of the Tinubu administration
Others who spoke at the event including the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Progressives Governors Chairman, Hope Ozindinwa and the State Party Chairman, Rufus Bature who all congratulated the Governor for aligning with the party, pledging to give him the necessary support for him to succeed.
Highpoint of the ceremony was the presentation of the party’s flag to the Governor.
