Plateau State was thrown into mourning following an attack on sunday at angwan Rukuba community by yet to be identified persons.
The attack led to the death of innocent residents while many others sustained various degrees of injuries.
Addressing people of the area in an emotionally tone Governor Caleb Mutfwang condemned the attack, saying such unprovoked and ungodly acts are becoming unbearable. He announced plans to give the victims a befitting burial, deviating from the usual mass burial practice.

Mutfwang pledged Government’s resolve to bring the perpetrators to justice and appealed to people to desist from taking laws into their hands.
He used the visit to commiserate with people of the area and families of the victims and prayed God to grant their souls eternal rest.

Also speaking, a youth leader in the State, Samson Ciroma and his counterparts representing the different locations in the community all expressed sadness over the attack while lamenting and alleging that the attackers were aided.

They also used the visit by the Governor to air out some of their grievances, especially some of his appointees, whom they said are not supporting the community’s socio-economic activities.
Meanwhile, a 48 hour curfew has been imposed in Jos North Local Government Area, aimed at curtailing any spread of the attack .
