Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has sworn in a new Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, alongside the new Head of Service, Falilat Musa, during a State Executive Council (SEC) meeting held at the Government House in Lokoja.

The oath of office was administered by the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Muiz Abdullahi.
Addressing journalists after the meeting, the Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, said the Council expressed satisfaction with the improving security situation across the state and reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the progress.
He said the Council remains dedicated to aligning with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda to enhance the living standards of residents.
As part of its resolutions, the Council approved the construction of a dual carriageway leading to the Kogi International Airport, including critical components such as perimeter fencing.
In their remarks, the newly sworn-in officials expressed gratitude to the governor for the confidence reposed in them.

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello pledged to support government policies and strengthen service delivery at the grassroots, while the Head of Service, Falilat Musa, assured of reforms aimed at improving worker’s welfare, emphasizing that promotions within the civil service would be strictly based on merit and due process.
