Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, has officially announced the results of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held across the state, declaring President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner.
Governor Lawal who is the Chief returning Officer of the primary election announced the results in the presence of party officials and representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in Gusau the Zamfara State Capital.
He said the exercise was conducted across the 14 local government areas of Zamfara State.
According to the results presented, President Tinubu secured an overwhelming majority of the votes, polling a total of 321,579 votes, while his opponent, Stanley Osifu, garnered 42 votes.
Governor Lawal explained that, the total number of registered APC members in the state stood at 365,796, with 322,435 accredited voters participated in the exercise.
He added that 321,620 votes were cast during the primary election.
A breakdown of the results from various local government areas showed that President Tinubu recorded massive support across the state, defeating his opponent by a wide margin in all the councils.
Declaring the final outcome, Governor Lawal said, “Based on the results collated and presented, I hereby declare President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the APC presidential primary election in Zamfara State.”
He further stated that the results would be transmitted to the party’s national headquarters in Abuja for further necessary action.
The Governor commended party members and stakeholders for their peaceful conduct throughout the exercise and prayed for continued unity within the party.
In Kwara
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary election in Kwara State.
Announcing the result at the APC Collation Centre in Ilorin, the Kwara State Governor and Collation Officer, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, said President Tinubu polled three hundred and ten thousand, nine hundred and ninety votes to defeat his lone challenger, Stanley Osifo, who scored no vote.
Governor AbdulRazaq said a total of four hundred and fifty-seven thousand, three hundred and seventy-four party members were registered in the state, while three hundred and ten thousand, nine hundred and ninety voters were accredited and participated in the exercise.
He thereafter declared President Tinubu winner of the primary election, having scored the highest number of votes and satisfied the requirements of the party.
In Ebonyi
President Bola Tinubu emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress APC primary election held across the thirteen Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State ahead of next year’s general elections.
Declaring the result at the Party’s Secretariat in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Governor and the Collation Officer for the primary election, Chief Francis Nwifuru announced that President Tinubu recorded two hundred and seven thousand , five hundred and seventy nine votes, while his opponent, Stanley Osifo scored zero vote.
He noted that the process followed the party’s guidelines and complied with all the necessary electoral procedures.
The Governor commended APC Stakeholders and delegates to the election for conducting themselves responsibly during the exercise, while urging all members of the party to remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections.
