Kogi State Police Command has cautioned political actors in forthcoming By-Election slated for Saturday in Okura Two State Constituency to obey the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the election.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Miller Dantawaye gave the warning in a statement signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP, William Ovye Aya in Lokoja.
CP Dantawaye said the Police in conjunction with other security agencies are determined to ensure a hitch free election in the affected areas and provide maximum security for the electorates.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc reiterates the Command’s unwavering commitment and preparedness in collaboration with other security Forces to ensure a peaceful and orderly conduct of the bye-election.
He urged members of the affected areas to fully cooperate with the law enforcement officers to guard against criminal elements who may want to disrupt the election process
According to him, anyone caught disrupting the process will be made to face the full weight of the law
The Police Boss appealed to the public for support to ensure the success of the By-Election.
