The Board of the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL has challenged Media Officers, Chief Security Officers and Supporters Club Chairmen to work collectively in meeting international best practices in the sports sector, especially the game of Football to enhance efficiency.
The Chief Operating Officer, NPFL, Davidson Owumi threw the challenge during the NPFL 2025/2026 Pre-Season Seminar organised for Twenty Media Officers, Supporters Club Chairmen and CSOs across the country held in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

The Board of the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL in collaboration with Nasarawa State Government and the State Football Association organised a one-day seminar for Media Officers, CSO’s and Chairmen of Supporters Clubs aimed at enhancing participants’ skills, building a stronger League, and improving matchday experiences for the upcoming 2025 – 2026 Season.


Chief Operating Officer of NPFL, Davidson Owumi said the event would bring about positive change to enable participants to benefit and contribute to the success of the new Football season.
He encouraged Media Officers, CSO’s and Chairmen of Supporters Club to take decisive action in reinforcing their stadium security frameworks so that every matchday is a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
Speaking in an interview at the end of the Seminar, Media Director of Nasarawa United FC who doubles as President of the NPFL Media Directors Forum and Media Officer of Kwara United, Eche Amos and Ayodeji Isma’il emphasised the crucial role of the media in shaping the league
stating that adequate projections and promotion are crucial for the growth of Football in the country.
On their parts, Chief Security Officer of Abia Warriors and President General Enyimba FC Supporters Club, Emmanuel Adindu and Steve UKWEIN appreciated the organisers and highlighted the importance of collaboration in ensuring security during matches.
The 2025/2026 NPFL season will kick off next week, and stakeholders are expected to work together to ensure the success of the season.
