In a low-key ceremony, the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Yakubu Kwanta, and the Chairman of Nasarawa United, Solomon Babanja, unveiled the new kits of Nasarawa United Football Club in the presence of Acting Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe at his residence in Lafia.
The newly designed kits by reputable China-based sports company, Elite King Sports Limited, owned by former Nigerian junior international, Tunde Seun Olokigbe ‘Elite’, with branches in Nigeria and across the world, showcase a perfect blend of style, comfort, and team spirit.
Featuring bold colors and sleek designs, these jerseys come in six distinct styles for home, away, and neutral games, ensuring they make a statement on the pitch.

The State’s Acting Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, commended the team’s efforts and extended his best wishes for the 2025/26 NPFL season, which kicked off on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Kwanta Yakubu, who led the delegation to the residence of the Acting Governor, said the approval of the kits by the Acting Governor underscored the priority placed on sports development by the current administration of Engr. Abdullahi Sule and the potential for the Solid Miners to make a positive impact in the elite domestic league.

He mentioned that the new kits would undoubtedly lift the team’s spirits as they step onto the pitch next Wednesday to face Niger Tornadoes in a rescheduled match-day one game of the 2025/26 league season at the Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Nasarawa United’s Chairman, Solomon Babanjah, joined by fellow Board Member and Director of Media, Mr. Eche Amos, expressed excitement about the new kits, highlighting how they reflect the club’s identity and values.
The Solid Miners are currently in a closed camp in Abuja and will head to Ilorin for the North Central Zonal derby clash scheduled for 4 pm.
