The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Yakubu Kwanta, has assured the management and players of Nasarawa United that the state government prioritizes their welfare. This commitment aims to ensure a successful 2025-2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, set to kick off across various match venues this weekend.
The Commissioner gave the assurance in Lafia during his farewell Speech to the Technical Crew and Players ahead of their NPFL opening match against Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minas.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sport Development, Yakubu Kwanta, congratulated the Management of the Club for selecting competent players who will represent the State to fight for laurels in the new Football season.
He noted that the Ministry and the State FA will keep providing them with the necessary support to succeed, emphasizing that their welfare is a priority for the State Government.
The Chairman of Nasarawa United, Mr. Solomon Babanja, commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his unwavering support and fatherly guidance of the team, promising that they will strive to bring more glory to the state in the new campaign.
Captain of the Team, King Osanga, emphasized that with the blend of New and the Old players, they are determined and committed not to disappoint people of the State in the 2025 2026 NPFL season.
The Solid Miners’ main target this season is to win laurels and get a continental ticket at the end of the season.
