The Nigerian Army’s Twelfth Brigade, Lokoja, has announced plans to commence its second Range Classification Exercise for the year 2025.
In a statement signed by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations of the Brigade, Lieutenant Hassan Abdullahi, the exercise will run from the 25th to the 28th of August.
According to the statement, the exercise is designed to sharpen the shooting skills of officers and soldiers, while also testing the serviceability of weapons not currently deployed for operations.
Residents of Shettima, Zango, and surrounding communities have been advised not to panic over the expected sound of gunfire or the movement of troops and equipment during the exercise.
The Brigade further appealed to the public to steer clear of the designated shooting range throughout the period of the exercise to ensure safety.
