The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been commended for its recent success in clamping down on a cybercrime syndicate operating in the country.
The National Orientation Agency, NOA, which gave the commendation in a press release signed by it director of communications and media, Bala Musa, described the feat as a strong statement that Nigeria does not tolerate criminality in any form, regardless of the nationality of the perpetrators.
The statement emphasized that as a sovereign nation committed to upholding ethical standards and the rule of law, Nigeria must safeguard its national integrity and reputation in the global community.
The NOA Director General, Mallam Lanre-Issa Onilu, called on all Nigerians and foreigners to respect the country’s laws and desist from any act capable of undermining national security and its moral fabric.

The Director General, who insisted Nigeria will not be a ground for criminal elements, urged community leaders, traditional rulers, educational institutions, the civil society, and the media to reinforce the nation’s values at all levels and partner government in creating a culture of integrity, patriotism, and civic responsibility.
The Agency commended the EFCC for demonstrating decisive leadership through collective accountability and firm adherence to the rule of law.
