Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command attached to Doma Division have arrested a dreaded armed robbery and kidnap kingpin, Mohammed Bammi also known as Zomo.
The suspect who held from Yelwa village, Plateau State is reported to be responsible for multiple kidnappings and robberies across Doma Local Government Area and its environs.
A statement issued to newsmen by the command’s public relations officer, SP Rahman Nansel says the suspect narrowly escaped arrest last month when his gang members were apprehended but finally ran out of luck during a clearance operation at Doka forest by eagle-eyed operatives. spotted him.
According to the statement the suspect pulled a knife to attack the officers in a bid to evade capture, but was swiftly overpowered and arrested.
