The people of Kogi State have been called upon to support government efforts in building infrastructure and strengthening security across the state.
The Deputy Governor, Mr. Joel Salifu, made the appeal in a goodwill message marking the 34th anniversary of the creation of the state.
Mr. Salifu noted that despite numerous challenges over the years, the state has continued to record significant achievements through the resilience and unity of its people.
He stressed that collective determination and togetherness remain key to securing a brighter future where the state would continue to grow and thrive in all sectors.
The Deputy Governor also urged citizens to honour the sacrifices of the state’s founding fathers and past leaders, who laid the foundation for its development, by working towards sustained progress and prosperity.
While congratulating the government and people of Kogi, both at home and abroad, he said the anniversary was a time for sober reflection on the state’s journey, the hurdles it had overcome, and the successes it had achieved since its creation.
